DeanOS ("DeanOS", "we", "us", or "our") operates getdeanos.com and the DeanOS application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up with email or with Google, we receive your name and email address. With email sign-in we use a one-time code. We never receive or store your Google account password.
Content you create. Companies, agents, chats, files, notes, and other content you add to the Service.
Connected services. If you connect a third-party tool (such as Google), we store the authorization credentials you provide (encrypted at rest) and access only the data you authorize, so the Service can act on your behalf.
Usage and technical data. Log data, approximate location from IP address, device and browser information, and a session cookie used to keep you signed in.

How we use information

We use information to provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service; to authenticate you; to respond to support requests; to detect and prevent abuse; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Google user data

If you choose to connect your Google account, you grant DeanOS access to specific Google data so your agents can do the work you ask of them. We request the narrowest scopes needed:

Gmail (read‑only): so an agent can search your inbox, read the messages you ask it to, and download their attachments — for example, to find tax‑related emails and compile the details into a spreadsheet for you. DeanOS does not send, reply to, modify, label, or delete your email.
Google Drive (only files DeanOS creates): so an agent can create and update files it makes for you, such as a spreadsheet it builds from your request. DeanOS can access only the files it creates or that you open with it — never the rest of your Drive.

We access this data only to perform the tasks you direct your agents to perform, and only while your connection is active. You can disconnect Google at any time from the Service, which revokes DeanOS's access; you may also revoke access from your Google Account permissions page.

Limited Use. DeanOS's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, we do not use Google user data to serve advertising, to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes, or to train or improve generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and we do not sell, transfer, or disclose it to third parties except as needed to provide or improve the Service at your direction, for security, or to comply with law. Humans do not read your Google data except with your consent for support, for security, to comply with law, or where the data has been aggregated and de-identified.

Sign in with Google

When you sign in with Google we request only your basic profile and email address, solely to create and secure your account. Signing in does not, by itself, grant access to your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data; that access is requested separately and only if you connect those tools.

AI processing

To deliver core features, content you submit may be processed by third-party AI providers (for example, large-language-model services) acting as our processors on our behalf. We share only what is needed to perform the requested task, and we do not permit those providers to use your data to train their generalized models. Do not submit information you are not authorized to share.

Sharing and service providers

We share information with infrastructure and service providers who process it on our behalf (for example, cloud hosting on Amazon Web Services, identity, email delivery, and AI providers), under contracts that require them to protect it and use it only to provide their services to us. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information or your Google user data.

Data retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, unless a longer period is required by law. You can delete your content or your entire account at any time; deleting your account or disconnecting a service removes the associated data and revokes our access. Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit and encryption at rest for credentials and sensitive data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your information, and you may delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law. To make a request, contact us at support@getdeanos.com.

International transfers

We operate primarily in Australia and may process information in other countries where we or our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Children

The Service is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and where appropriate we will notify you.
